Happy Christmas one and all

Jo and I are off for a few days holiday in the van and then to spend some time with my family. I wont be blogging for a week or so, but don't forget to check again soon.

Take care, and I hope that this Christmas is a good one. Presents of course but more importantly that we can gain a new understanding of what it's all about.

5 things you didnt know about me

This is a follow on from Lloyds blog

1: When I was born I was so fat that I couldn't open my eyes for a few days.
2: I won the Perpetual Cup for Engineering Excellence at college. I was only one of two people who completed the course. And the college has to give the award every year.
3: When I play Solitaire I feel compeled to line up the Aces in the order of Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs then Spades.
4: I pick my nose and eat it
5: I can get 78 pringles in my mouth

Explicit Lyrics

Twice in the last two weeks there have been hold ups on the underground due to tragic circumstances. However, depending on which station you are in you get a different explanation. When I got to one station, staff announced that "there has been a passenger related accident" which is subtle, but then when I arrived at the next station the announcer said "there are delays due to a there being a person under a train". What's that about. I really don't want to know the specifics, a little bit of respect for the victim please.

Positive Christian media? Nice one Mr Jenkins and LeHaye

Not content with writing a series of books with little to no theological grounding, now you can buy the video game that amongst other things, The Times says, gives you scenarios like this: 'If the Christians fail to convert others to their religion they must kill them in order to progress to the next level, dismissing any other form of religion.' Well I suppose after all, it's not as if the basis of the Christian Faith is love. Indeed true love always includes killing people who don't agree with you doesn't it, we must Love our neighbour but with an AK47 strapped to our back. Oh no that's wrong isn't it.

This is a great quote from the official website. We get to "Conduct physical & spiritual warfare : using the power of prayer to strengthen your troops in combat and wield modern military weaponry throughout the game world." I can't wait for modern military weaponry, those bullet things are far to old school.

complimentary is dear Elijah

I went to my good friends Lloyd's yesterday for a visit, also to show of my new Van(our new Van Jo would point out, but mine really).

As soon as I spoke in the house his little boy (Elijah) shouted down (without having seen me), "I love you Steve". Now I've not seen Elijah for a long while, so it was extra nice to be remembered too. Not sure if Lloyd put him up to it, if he did, it worked wonders. If not, then even better.

"I love you too Elijah"

New Arrival!

Jo and I are proud to announce the arrival of our new baby. Parents and baby both doing well. Though the baby does weigh in at 1.5 tonnes and is an unusual grey colour.

Try it,

It's fun I got average, but Jo's a genius.

Not so superman returns

Watched Superman Returns last night, and was fairly disappointed. There were good bits, but more bad unfortunatley. It seems to me that Superman's only weakness is the very weakness of the movie, you just know what has to happen - Kryptonite.

Definetely one of my least enjoyed films of the genre.
