Words of yesteryear

A previous post contained the word 'umpteenth'. I commented that it was a Gran type word to say, and it got me to reminiscing. What other old words/phrases do i love and miss, which words/phrases evoke fond memories? Below is a little list, feel free to add, agree or disagree.

Scamp
Scalliwag
Rapscallion
You're a one
Tyke
Mummy's/Daddy's/Gran's/Grandpa's Little soldier

Lady Gadiva (when we were in the nik)
Blackpool illuminations (when we left the lights on)
Tinker
Fossil

Grandad used to call me and Jo fossil all the time. I don't really get it all too much- at what point does a 5year old kid begin to resemble a 7 million year old embedded and preserved organism.

Having worked in a nursing home I can tell you a few sayings from my friend Jack (aged 96):
"My family motto is why be difficult when with a little bit of effort you can be bloody impossible."
After shaving: "SABB: smooth as a babys bottom"
On sitting down: "BDFU: Bum Down Feet Up"
