West Country folk have opinions too.
I like to refer to my mother in law as "the old dragon". It's said with affection. It relates to the fact she welsh and a bit scary(she's got a punch on her). What are your top mother in law names. You can comment under a pseudonym for your safety if you wish.

I'm aging nicely, maturing with dignity really. Got me an awesome wife, a real beauty and now fabulous boy called Hudson. We're living 1 minute from Westminster Abbey, Two mins from Parliment, Five mins from...you get the point. We're living the high life without the high wages.

I call your mother-in-law "Mrs Major" - a term of respect I think, but yet I always seem to be on the end of the punches you mentioned! A friend of mine suggests that his mother-in-law modelled for the Welsh flag :-)
Old trout is a good nickname too...
